A
"Cakes" came to be, because of a wonderful little girl. A child that had already
        endured so much in her short life. I can not disclose her name, as she                 
        was my foster daughter. So I will call her Emily for the purpose of telling
         the story. First let me tell you how cakes works.

       The majority of us struggle at some point in our lives. During those times we
       find support for housing, food, clothing, school supplies, Christmas and more.   
       We forgot something very important. A child's birthday. Not having a birthday  
       celebrated can cause great pain and have damaging effects. Then think of the
       parent. It must be devastating to tell your child there is no money for gifts or
       a cake.    


       That is where we come in. If a family is going through a hard time. We will
       provide the cake. If a family can donate some supplies or money, thats
       great but not required by any means.
       It is that simple. We just ask that you use this service, if you are truly in need.
       Some areas also do cakes for seniors and community events that relate to
       children and families.
