FROM THE FOUNDER'S DESK
happy new year everyone!
First, I need to apologize for the problems caused by my absence. I
have had some health problems that have kept me from work. I
will make getting funds forwarded to Chapters that are waiting
my priority. I will be working with Mr. Marshall to ensure we
have everything out by the end of this week.
2009 has been a year of wonders!
Our growth in volunteer Bakers has been astounding.
The list on the site is far from complete. So if you do not see your
contact information, we will be working on it.
When I first started doing this. It never occurred to me, anything
remotely like this would happen.
It proves the world is full of wonderful people that give freely
of themselves to help others in their time of need. I can't say just
child anymore, as so many of us have been baking for seniors as
well.
Another favorite is expecting mom's in a temporary housing
situation or domestic violence shelter. Many of us have started
baking to support other community organizations that work to
improve the lives of others. Keep raising the bar! The economy is
bad yes, But ... WE ARE BAKING TO A BETTER WORLD!
A couple of years ago someone told me I needed to realize, " I
could not save every child". I told her, I realized that. But that
did not mean I couldn't try.
